Suman Joshi: Biography
Suman Joshi is one of the leading bankers in Nepal and founder of the True North Associates, a well-known investment firm in Nepal. Suman began his career in the field of commercial and investment banking in 1990, therefore he has extensive experience in the field. He spent more than ten years in prominent roles with ANZ Grindlays and Standard Chartered Bank in India and Nepal. He then went on to become the first CEO of Laxmi Bank, where he served for three consecutive terms, coming up with, overseeing, and growing a number of initiatives and subsidiaries for the bank. Suman is considered one of Nepal’s most creative and inventive banking professionals.
Joshi received his education in Private Equity & Venture Capital from Harvard Business School. He is the Inaugural Chair of the Nepal Private Equity & Venture Capital Association and is constantly looking to push the boundaries of existing financial and entrepreneurial landscapes in Nepal.
